What Is The Future Of The Telecommunications Industry?

Posted on 04:34 by Unknown

The future of the industry is simple. Look at what has happened over the last say 2 years.....we have had an outstanding amount of devices and applications directed towards being able to connect with others.

If its going to be wireless vs wireline then its wireless hands down. But going deeper in to that I will have to say that the future will not be in just cell phones or BlackBerry's or the iphone. I think you have to look deeper into it, think of a world with readers, tablets etc ...... but at the same time being able to still connect your ever day life into these devices. The industry is evolving and a wind of change is coming too.

The telecommunication industry will go to another NEW ERA with new high speed data services enabled by LTE/WiMax/IMS, IP end-to-end. For the end-users it will mean more information to exchange, for the operators more money to make, and for the equipment vendors (Infrastructure/handset..) it will mean more complex equipment to design and deploy.

Welecome to the information age.

The ex IBM CEO, Louis Gerstner, was asked once about the future of computing. He gave a very interesting analogy as a means to answer the question. He said .... before the invention of the electrical motor, factories used to have steam engine rooms outside the plant with shafts connected to the machinery inside. After the invention of the electrical motor, all machines have their motors embedded in them.

He said .... in today's world, there are computers everywhere serving specific functions. In the future, he predicted, computing capabilities will be embedded in everything from clothes and wall paints all the way to big robots and apparatus. I don't recall if he specifically mentioned nano technology as the enabler for this evolution. But I believe it is.

Let’s take this analogy one step further and deduce the future of telecommunications. If computing is embedded in everything and connectivity becomes everywhere, then we can imagine a world in which communication devices are less visible and information flows less intrusively.

If we look at telecommunication, the primary intent has been to communicate across a distance.

From just standalone voice and data communication, the industry has over the past few years evolved to provide communication backbone for multimedia - voice, data, image and video.

To do so the initial battle between, wired (copper and optical) and wireless (multiple technologies), cable has now become a driver for convergence and coexistence.

The business will be driven by the value that is available through seamless connectivity. It is very likely that connectivity will be taken for granted in fact like any commodity could become free (see the cost of voice communication going southward).

Different industries like health care (seamless access and connectivity for health care), entertainment ( mobile access to movies, music and games), financial institutions (secure and mobile access to money transactions, shares), manufacturing (seamless access to the supply chain) would drive telecom technologies and solutions.

The requirement of seamless access would vary from very small distances (the tele part of telecommunication) to across the globe would be another driver.

So these are exciting times for any one who can create innovative that provide tangible benefits to the end user who now has access to varied options of multi media connectivity.

It as a loyal dog, care of the house with you, as long as you like, you can even make it naughty child care, without fear of any unpleasant incidents. Intention, at least in some unknown person came to your door when the front of the robot will use the expression of interest in this very strange uninvited guest, so that in the event of anything before the first scare away these people.

House this time there is no wisdom can be as simple facilities Why? No, it will have more interactive features, and make people feel comfortable, they do not need to worry about you too much. With the front of the robot in this baby, do not have to worry about trivial issues've forgotten my house keys, and this guy say hello on the line? Just as there are people in the same house all the time.

Usual, we are most worried about leaving the house, the home no one to take care of. How do plants and flowers in the house, the house dog, bird how to do? How manage home appliances, home of the real situation? Have a new Smart Home All this can be resolved.

First of all, at least have an intelligent home server, the server is used to control and feed dogs, water plants, and related matters. When you remotely manage, they can log on the server, control and configure these options, and make timely instructions.

To the current technology can do this, tenants have been smart phone ringing phone is designed to control the water system, thousands of kilometers away, as long as the dial home phone on the line.

Now, smart home system can do this all the more intelligent? According to predetermined procedures, at the right time, according to the different climate and temperature, watering program can start automatically. If you want the remote to see if watering effect, through an online camera can be monitored, by the way you can look at the situation at home.

, Of course, in most cases, the cameras are not smart enough to follow if Alarm Linkage system, which better and better. Recently China Taiwan Province, households have digital cameras to see through the thief to steal home, and then direct alarm?, However, when we see someone steal home, while they exposure outside the home, that feeling of helplessness is indeed a kind of torture .

So fixed camera to be eliminated, we can use another kind of artifact? Patrol robot. The robot can be in the house under the alignment of the inspection, police found suspicious circumstances in addition to outside, but also according to the robot the ability to counter the strategies of different settings, this ratio stood before the camera see people stealing their but helpless feeling much better.

Also, in addition to the police, accident cases, smart house also should be able to automatically power off, or if we are taking a trip and forgot to turn off the switch, the intelligent home will also help you solve the problem. In the phone that one has integrated remote control side, so convenient. If the phone lost how to do, it does not matter, you can monitor the function is set to hidden, picked up the phone user can not operate these things.

Smart home system can do more for us, Just imagine, when you rest at home, Car Suddenly the alarm blaring, you may always a stride out the door to see, now?? Front Probe Already started to return the message that there are children playing in front hit the car, all right, we are relieved.

The evening, started the night in front of the probe mode, you can see the situation around, but no particular movement, it will not pass this information to the homeowners, but when people go into the context of monitoring, the system will automatically activated emergency response mode.

To house a nanny Once fully networked home environment was occupied by the central control server, in addition to the basic control system, we can also store user data and information. Users can easily access via mobile phone data needed. Such as travel time, forgot to bring the customer card, as long as the phone call in their own database on line. In addition, the home server also assume the task of small-scale data centers, not only can store photographs, but also and can be sent to the need to demand the display device.

In the smart home system, the display device via the network connection can also serve as functional lighting, as long as the users prefer, you can show all kinds of pictures on the wall and the scene, and lighting effects under climate change. For example, wedding anniversary, you can cast a warm romantic tone, but when you need great brightness, you can set the lighting fully open. As the LED is embedded in the walls, we can also watch a movie in the wall, the effect of the strong, the projector can not be with them shoulder to shoulder. The only problem is that costs are high.

Now, the house has been furnished a number of sensors, the ceiling lighting system also simulate the feeling, can walk with the user automatically turn on in certain areas. Each guest entering the room can be put on the perceived body temperature and pulse bracelets, so your house can be adjusted according to the case collected in different regions of the temperature setting, so that everyone feels comfortable.

It also followed the home as warm and safe haven, but also should have a monitoring function, the current home care there are two directions, one is already developed the monitoring function of the mattress has to help health care workers When the patient is not clear that patients with signs, and trophies with first-aid system is connected, it can avoid

Jobs and Careers in the Telecommunications Industry

Posted on 04:30 by Unknown

Copyright (c) 2010 Ianson Internet Marketing

Entering in to the world of Telecommunications as a career choice could be a great decision.

Take a look at Training Telecommunications Technician courses, Postgraduate Telecommunications Technician courses, Undergraduate Telecommunications Technician courses. All these are available at many UK colleges and universities.

Telecommunications is a vital service from the smallest scale of a community to the largest, a nation's economy as a whole. In addition to the traditional services of wired phone and cable TV, telecommunications companies provide services for cellular phones, satellite TV, and broadband and mobile Internet.

Some telecommunications jobs monitor and control systems to make sure that they are operable. Others start the process by doing the design and installation of the systems and equipment. Still other jobs maintain and improve the systems and equipment.

Of course, administrative and finance positions are vital in any industry. People are needed to keep track of telecommunications use and to bill subscribers for services. There is also the need for customer service representatives to address subscriber concerns and queries. Furthermore, telecommunications jobs include roles for managing and supervising staff.

Depending on the job description, telecommunication employees can be responsible for creating cost-effective and efficient systems, or for handling system upgrades as newer and more advanced equipment becomes available. Other workers focus on client services or accounting.

Telecommunications professionals may be employed full-time by different types of companies, including insurers, telephone carriers, banks and manufacturers. They may also be hired by consulting firms or government agencies, or work as free-lancers.

The largest sector is wired telecommunications services, which include wired telephone, cable TV and Internet. Networks may be owned and maintained, shared with other organizations or leased from other companies.

Wireless telecommunications is another sector. It provides Internet, data, telephone and other services to subscribers through transmission of signals over networks of radio towers. The signal is transmitted through an antenna. The cellular phone business in particular is a big influence in the success of this telecommunications sector, given its rapid growth in recent years.

Another sector is satellite telecommunications. A mix of government and private organizations provides satellite services. Except for direct-to-home satellite TV, which is part of the wired telecommunications sector, satellite transmissions, including feeds and photos, belong to this group.

There are several specialist Internet Job Boards and Job Sites advertising vacancies in the Telecomms Industry. These will give you some idea as to what positions are available and the salary you can expect to earn

Research Report on Mergers and Service Development of Chinese Telecommunications Industry, 2009

Posted on 04:30 by Unknown

China Telecom was called Directorate General of Telecommunications?P?T?China at first. In 1995, it was registered the legal representative, from then on, separating enterprises from government management. In 1998, the post and telecommunications services separated, specializing in the telecommunications operation. In 1999, the services, satellite services and mobile services were separated out from China Telecom. In 2000, China Telecom was established officially.

During 2001 to 2002, in order to break monopoly in the fixed telecommunications field, having been separated the mobile services, China Telecom was divided into the north and south part. In May, 2005, newly reformed China Telecom and China Netcom were established officially. The telecommunications companies in ten provinces, including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi and Inner Mongolia of North China, Liaoning, Jilin and Heilongjiang of Northeast China, Henan and Shandong, belonged to the north part of China Telecom. Others belonged to the south part of China Telecom.

China Netcom Group Corporation (Hong Kong) Limited was merged by the north part of China Telecom together with China Netcom and Jitong Network Communications Company Limited.

The south part of China Telecom maintained the name, possessing the name of China Telecom and the intangible assets. Chinese telecommunications market was gradually formed the competition patterns with the basic telecommunications companies of China Telecom, China Netcom, China Mobile, china Unicom, China Satcom and China Tietong.

During the long development process, China Mobile Limited had been the giant of Chinese mobile communications industry. In 2008, the service revenues of China Mobile Limited reached to 412.3 billion Yuan (58.9 USD), up by 15.5% of 2007, realizing the annual net profits of 112.8 billion Yuan, up by 29.6% of 2007. Calculation by the users, China Mobile Limited had been the largest operator of Chinese mobile communications. By the end of December, 2008, the users of China Mobile Limited were 457.3 billion, up by 23.8% of 2007, the revenues and profits of China Mobile Limited exceeding the total sum of China Telecom and China Unicom.

By the end of May, 2008, the prelude of the fourth reform of Chinese telecommunications industry was officially started. The CDMA internet merged by China Telecom, China Tietong entry China Mobile, the integration of China Unicom and China Netcom, represented that Chinese telecommunications industry had entered the age of tripartite confrontation. After the mergers, the reformed China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom all had fixed networks, mobile licenses, the qualification of all service operations, marking the new competition stage of Chinese telecommunications industry.

There are three purposes for the mergers: first, strengthening the competitiveness of the operators; second, changing the disparate competition pattern; third, creating service reform opportunities for the operators.

The newly built China Unicom obtained the 3G license, the largest scale and well-rounded in the world. Because of its mature industry chains and the low price for the equipment, the newly built China Unicom had advantages in the competition of 3G service.

Meanwhile, WCDMA service is the technical standard of 3G in the world, the fastest growth in the users. It had obvious competition advantages compared with the CDMA2000 services, especially the later reform towards 4G. At present, WCDMA standard is the most mature, receiving supports from various major telecommunications equipment manufacturers. However, the market operation capacity of China Unicom fell behind China Mobile. The development perspectives of WCDMA services in China need further investigation. By the end of 2008, the accumulative GSM mobile phone users of China Unicom reached to 133.365 million and 100.146 million of the fixed phone users.

China Telecom is the largest operator of the fixed phones. By the end of 2008, the users were more than 208 million, but the users cut down by about several million in each month averagely. Since its acquisition of CDMA services of China Unicom, the CDMA users decreased in a successive three months in the end of 2008. By the end of 2008, the CDMA users of China Telecom totaled 27.91 million, down by 1.17 million compared with the beginning of acquisition. But the CDMA users increased in the beginning of 2009.

The internet users of China Telecom were 44.27 million at the end of 2008, accumulative net growth by 8.62 million in 2008. The internet users of China Unicom were 25.416 million at the end of 2008.

Although the internet users of China Mobile were very small, China Mobile had started the network construction in the whole country because of its abundant capital. It is predicted that its users will grow at a fast speed.

The TD-SCDMA standard operated in China Mobile belonged to Chinese independent 3G standard, falling behind of WCDMA and CDMA2000. But out of the consideration of the services, the giant position of China Mobile could not weaken in Chinese mobile communications market. It is possible for China Mobile to obtain another WCDMA license in recent years.
