Bad Experience
After many attempts to get the router to work, and many conversations with Linksys Tech's, I finally talked with a tech that seemed to know what he was doing and he said there was a problem with unit and send it back. I did send unit back, didn't request a new one and promptly received a credit from Amazon and am well pleased with their service. Would recommend Amazon but would not recommend Cisco products. Have had trouble with every item I have tried.

Just got this today. Replaced linksys wrt-160 v2 which kept cutting out. Actually doubled my download speed on wireless connection 24mbps!!!! no dropouts. no resets. easy to set up. I set up guest network first and then used the browser interface to change more advanced options. Highly recommended.
5G Range
I purchased this router to replace a Linksys WRT160N Cisco-Linksys WRT160N Wireless-N Broadband Router. The 160 was working fine but I wanted to separate our netflix and ps3 games from routine internet traffic with a dual band router. So I purchased the E3000 Cisco-Linksys E3000 High-Performance Wireless-N Router. Set up was straight forward since I read the Amazon reviews and was prepared to use the advance settings through Cisco Connect, which takes you to the web interface. I'm using ATT DSL Elite for internet access via an ActionTec GT701D DSL modem Actiontec GT701D Ethernet DSL Modem with Routing Capabilities in the bridge mode (this is to support VPN pass-through, I have the E3000 handle the PPPoe). For network geography, the E3000 is hardwired to my desktop in the FROG (finished room over garage) and a new Sony BDP-S570 wi-fi blu-ray playerSony BDP-S570 Blu-ray Disc Player is at the other end of the house on the ground floor, probably about 40ft away. I used the WPS PIN method to connect the S570 to the E3000 since I don't broadcast my SSIDs. The WPS PIN method worked but only on the 2.4GHz band. I could not connect to the 5GHz due to signal strength. As it turns out, the range of the 5GHz band is roughly half as good as the 2.4. Should have remembered basic physics: higher frequency, shorter range. I also have a PS3 on the network but it's built-in Wi-Fi is 802.11g, 2.4GHz only. Kinda defeated my purpose. Now I have to rearrange my geography to match the physics and hardwire the PS3. Hardwiring the PS3 will be cheaper than buying a 802.11n WAP for it. Bottom line, the router does everything it is advertised to do, I just need to better match my setup to it's capabilities.
